Gemengd koor uit Gorinchem

Repetities zijn maandelijks in de Luisterpost in Gorinchem op de 1e zaterdag van 10:30 tot 15:00 uur.

Mixed Nuts Chorus, het 50-koppige gemengde koor, is iets meer dan een jaar geleden formeel tot leven gekomen, maar mag nu al meedoen aan de internationale BHS-competitie, juli 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio, VS. Dit heeft het koor te danken aan hun optreden op SING 2023, de Barbershop Conventie van Holland Harmony. Mixed Nuts behaalde tijdens deze competitie het hoogste resultaat ooit, tevens won zij de publieksprijs en de LABBS award. In oktober van datzelfde jaar wonnen zij brons in de Ierse competitie. Het gemengde koor is een initiatief van dirigenten Stuart Sides en Katy Taylor en ziet er naar uit om naar Cleveland te gaan voor hun eerste intercontinentale reis.

Mixed Nuts Chorus, the 50-strong mixed chorus, has formally come to life just over a year ago, but may already compete in the international BHS competition, July 2024 in Cleveland Ohio US. The chorus owes this to their performance at SING 2023, Holland Harmony’s barbershop convention. Mixed Nuts achieved the highest result ever during this competition, they also won the audience award and the LABBS award. In October of the same year they won bronze in the Irish competition. The mixed chorus is an initiative of conductors Stuart Sides and Katy Taylor and is delighted to go to Cleveland on their first intercontinental tour.
